THE MINISTER
A year and a half after becoming a Christian in Edmonton Alberta (1984), I joined an international drama and music ministry called the Covenant Players. (www.CovenantPlayers.com) I met my wife, Kristi Hemingway, in Los Angeles during the first summer training and we were married 3 years later. I cherish all the adventures in 18 states and 10 different countries in Europe, performing music and drama in schools, prisons, churches, and senior centers.
The Covenant Players was an excellent experience, but Kristi and I finished our commitment in Europe and enrolled at Colorado Christian University (www.ccu.com) for a higher education. Kristi had her associates degree, so she finished her B.A. in ’92. I spent 4 + years completing a B.A. in biblical studies with a music minor.
We lived in Europe for almost 6 years, church planting with a para-church organization called Christian Associates International. (Link to web site www.christianassociates.org) Our son, Levi was born in Paris, France a few weeks after the turn of the millennium. Eden came in October of 2001 after we had moved back to Denver.
Kristi and I have been a part of C.A.I. since 1995. Though we are not currently on the field, church planting in Europe, we are still on staff and are developing a program to resource the teams in Europe in the realm of the arts. Our hope is to help train missionaries here in Denver for their assignments in Europe and to take trips ourselves to the church plants (particularly the 3 in France).
In June of 2002 I accepted a part-time position as worship leader at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Arvada. In June of 2005 I resigned in order to find a church near our home in Thornton and become involved as a family.
